EVERETT — A man was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after being struck by a car on Evergreen Way.
Just before 2 p.m., a passenger car hit a man who was trying to cross Evergreen Way on a skateboard or long board, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center with injures that were not considered life-threatening.
The man was hit near Walmart in the 11400 block of Evergreen Way. Emergency responders closed several north and southbound lanes for about 45 minutes.
Initial reports are that the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk, Snell said. Police are investigating.
