EVERETT — A single-engine airplane had a rough landing this afternoon at Paine Field when part of its landing gear failed to lower, airport operations director Bruce Goetz said.
A hydraulic fluid problem kept the airplane’s back wheels located under its wings from coming down, Goetz said.
The Glasair 3 plane landed with only its nose gear lowered, Goetz said. It scraped its belly on the runway at about 12:20 p.m, sustaining minor damage.
The pilot, based at Paine Field, was not injured in the landing, Goetz said. The pilot had no passengers.
The plane left a mark on the runway, but caused no significant damage, Goetz said.
