EVERETT — A man held at the Snohomish County Jail died of a medical problem, according to the findings of an autopsy released Thursday.
Evan Cochron, 34, suffered a pulmonary embolism — sudden blood clotting in the lungs — around 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
At the time he collapsed, he was sitting alone and waiting to be escorted to court, the county sheriff’s office reported.
Cochron, of Marysville, was booked into the jail Sunday on four Municipal Court warrants.
He was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, where he later died.
The manner of death was classified as natural causes.
