Snohomish High School inducted a new class into its Hall of Fame at a ceremony Feb. 3. The honor recognizes alumni for success and service in their fields and also is open to non-alumni for contributions to the school. This year’s inductees:
Tom Cable (Class of 1982), a National Football League coach now with the Seattle Seahawks.
Duane Clayton (Class of 1941), a nuclear physicist who spent 12 years at the University of Washington.
Tuck Gionet, a noted teacher and track and field coach who died in 2015 from cancer.
Curt Marsh (Class of 1977), a retired NFL player who won a Super Bowl ring with the Oakland Raiders in 1984.
Everett Olsen (Class of 1932), who died in 2006, was deeply involved in local civic life and was the first president of the Snohomish Historical Society.
Dr. Cedric Tuohy (Class of 1943), who died in 2009, a doctor and surgeon who worked at several local hospitals.
Inductees are selected every two years by a committee of 11 people that includes the principal, athletic director, four staff members, one student, two community members and two retired staff members.
