EVERETT — A Snohomish man was charged with first-degree animal cruelty Tuesday. He is accused of shooting and killing his neighbor’s dog.
The man, 56, had a history of disagreements with his neighbors about their dogs, according to papers filed Tuesday in Snohomish County Superior Court.
When Molly, a golden retriever, ran onto his property in early November, he allegedly shot and killed the dog, prosecutors said.
Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies said the man denied shooting the dog but they found the dog’s collar in his pocket. Deputies also said tracks from the man’s ATV led back to the dead dog.
