SNOHOMISH — A Snohomish man was in critical condition at a Seattle hospital after he was shot in the groin early this morning.
The gunfire erupted about 1:30 a.m. in a home in the 17700 block of Broadway Avenue in unincorporated Snohomish, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
The man who was shot, 30, reportedly was visiting the home. He was standing outside when he was confronted by four or five men, Hover said.
He ran back into the home but the suspects followed him inside where one man shot the victim. Police did not disclose the type of firearm used.
The victim apparently knew the suspects and was afraid of them, Hover said.
Crews took the wounded man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he was reported in critical condition, she said.
No arrests have been made.
Detectives continue to investigate. They’re trying to determine the motive for the violence and the relationship between the victim and the suspects.
