SNOHOMISH — Two people were booked into the Snohomish County Jail on Wednesday after police discovered an indoor mushroom-growing operation and a half-ounce of heroin at a Snohomish home, officials said.
Police initially went to the home on a domestic violence report and spotted what were suspected to be hallucinogenic mushrooms growing in bins.
They returned with a search warrant, said Acting Cmdr. A.J. Bryant.
The mushrooms were in different stages of growth and appeared to be part of an ongoing operation, Bryant said.
In more than two decades in law enforcement, Bryant said he had never seen an indoor mushroom-growing operation.
