SNOHOMISH – The suspects in Wednesday’s shooting outside a Snohomish church were booked into jail early Friday morning.
Terrance Lawson and Lorene Saladini, both 19, were booked into the Snohomish County Jail after 4 a.m. Friday, according to jail records. They were being held for investigation of first-degree assault.
The shooting happened around 5 p.m. Wednesday in a church parking lot at the 1400 block of Pine Ave. The alleged gunman pulled up and fired several rounds, striking the victim three times. The suspect then got back into his vehicle and fled.
The victim, who is in his late teens or early 20s, was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he was listed in serious condition.
Working with Lake Stevens detectives, Snohomish police tracked Lawson and Saladini to a hiding place. The pair voluntarily surrendered after law officers, including Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies, showed up at the home, police said.
Lawson also is under investigation for unlawful possession of a firearm. At the time of the shooting, he was out on bail on two counts of child rape. Prosecutors allege he had sex with an 11 year old.
