EVERETT — Footprints in freshly fallen snow were the giveaway to police that two men might be responsible for setting off a silent alarm early Thursday.
Officers responded to the alarm about 4:30 a.m. at a business in the 2900 block of 36th Street, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
“They saw tracks going into the building but not going out,” he said.
As they closed in, a man who had what police believe was a bag of stolen goods gave himself up.
Tracks led police to a second man who was hiding in a pile of logs, Goetz said.
Both men, 39 and 35, were booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of burglary.
