JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD — The Army is investigating after a soldier died during a training run at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
In a news release, a spokesman for the base said the soldier and his unit were running through a wooded area Friday morning. Emergency staff from Madigan Army Medical Center responded and transported him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The soldier’s name was being withheld pending notification of his family.
