Phooey on Charlie Sheen.
He’s doing a one-man show May 3 in Everett. Leland Dart with Rely Local Everett-Mukilteo has an idea: Instead of contributing to the $7 million Sheen is predicted to make on his tour around the country, make a contribution of $25 or more to any Mukilteo or Everett charity.
Let them know you made a donation at www.relylocal.com.
Everyone who plays along will get their name put into a hat. A drawing will be held and the winner will receive a gift package including lunch at Wellers Speedway Cafe in Mukilteo, two Everett Silvertips tickets and other prizes.
If you can’t donate money, donate at least $25 worth of your time to an Everett or Mukilteo charity and you’ll also be entered in the drawing.
Charity, not Charlie.

They need a host family in Snohomish. Bonnie Carrick says a 16-year-old male student from Vienna, Austria, would like to attend Snohomish High School for the 2011-12 school year.
“This young man is a good cook, taking specialized classes to become a chef,” Carrick says. “He is an excellent skier and enjoys playing soccer, table tennis and chess. He is interested in computers and music. He has travelled with his family in many areas of Europe.”
Carrick says he has good English skills, will have full health insurance and spending money.
“His main desire is to have the experience of living with an American family.”
Host families do not need to have a teenager of their own. Young families and empty nesters would be excellent hosts. The home stay could be split between two families for a single semester each.
For more information call Bonnie Carrick at 360-568-6545 or email bon-ned@comcast.net.

Admit it. You’ve always had a hankering to sing on stage.
The Snohomish Senior Center says “Come on down.”
The Snohomish Senior Center Choral Singers Chorus is forming.
“All singers are invited and your voice is needed in this group,” says Pat Thomas. “We have been rehearsing for more than a month.”
They are planning to entertain on the Fourth of July, so there is plenty of time to join.
Rehearsals are at 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the center, 506 4th St. in Snohomish.
For more information, call Thomas at 360-568-0934.
