South Snohomish County voters cast ballots at a higher rate than the countywide and statewide averages.
Turnout in the Edmonds School District — Brier, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, Woodway and nearby unincorporated areas – was 54.79 percent through Monday, Nov. 21, compared to a countywide average of 52.33 percent and a statewide average of 52.67 percent.
The highest voter turnout was in the Edmonds Port District, which includes downtown Edmonds from Puget Sound east to 92nd Avenue West and south to the King County line, including the Town of Woodway. That area had a ballot-return rate of almost 67 percent.
Turnout in the entire city of Edmonds was 63 percent. Turnout was 62 percent in Woodway.
In other South Snohomish County cities turnout was 59 percent in Brier, 51 percent in Lynnwood and 48 percent in Mountlake Terrace.
