BELLEVUE — Beginning this weekend, all southbound lanes of I-405 will be closed for three weekends just beyond downtown Bellevue, causing widespread traffic slowdowns.
This weekend’s closure began at 11 p.m. Friday and lasts until 5 a.m. Monday.
Drivers must exit before the Wilburton Tunnel, which is being demolished so the freeway can be expanded. Downtown exits are open, but the state Department of Transportation is reducing the freeway lanes starting near Highway 520.
