Maple Park Church of the Lutheran Brethren in Lynnwood presents vacation Bible school 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 11 to 14, with a kick-off celebration for families from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 10 at 17620 60th Ave. W., Lynnwood.

The program features fun at “Sonworld Adventure Park” including games, skits, crafts, songs and snacks built on an amusement park theme and daily Bible stories.

The program is for ages 4 through fifth grade. It includes a mothers’ class with care provided for children ages 3 and under.

Everett’s Grace Lutheran Church presents The Son Harvest County Fair, a vacation Bible school from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 4 through 8 with a “Fruits of the Spirit” theme. The program starts with dinner at 5 p.m followed by the program at 6 p.m.

Grace Lutheran Church is at 8401 Holly Drive, Everett.

The program includes two mission projects for participants including gathering food for Grace’s food bank and making arts and crafts projects for seniors at a nursing home.

The event culminates with a Family Fun Fair on Aug. 10 with food, games and activities.

Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church presents a softball and baseball camp 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, for kids ages 7 to 13.

The cost is $30 per child and includes a shirt.

The camp will cover basic and intermediate skills with an emphasis on improving fielding, hitting and pitching.

Festival

North Creek Christian Fellowship presents its second annual Unfinished Car Show, 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at 21300 99th Ave. SE, Snohomish.

Activities include music by local artists Soulfill, Tayla and Overkast; food, games, trophies, cash prizes and a drawing for a free chassis dyno.

Missions Work

Tyler Anderson, medical director of Rafiki Orphan Village Uganda, presents a “Doc Talk” from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Providence Hospital Medical Center, Colby Campus, Rainier Room, 1330 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. A light dinner is planned.

Anderson and his family recently returned from a two-year trip to Uganda, where they worked with orphans. Anderson plans to provide a presentation with first-hand information about what it’s like to work in Africa at a medical outreach clinic. The Rafiki Foundation needs Christian medical staff for two short trips, including doctors, nurses, medical assistants, lab technicians and front office staff.

Recovery

The First Assembly of God Church presents Celebrate Recovery at 5 p.m. Sundays with meetings throughout the week, at 4705 Grove St., Marysville.
