SPOKANE — The Spokane City Council has approved a $20-a-year tax on vehicles licensed in the city.
The revenue will help pay to fix potholes and other street maintenance. The new car tab tax will begin to be levied in about six months.
On another issue, The Spokesman-Review reported the council Monday voted against placing a tax for libraries on the April ballot.
