SPOKANE — The Spokane City Council passed an ordinance Monday night to bring the city law in line with the marijuana legalization initiative approved by state voters.
KHQ reported that the ordinance defines what forms of marijuana use are legal in the city limits. It also makes it illegal to have marijuana openly in public — similar to the law that makes it illegal to have alcohol out in the open.
Meanwhile, the state Liquor Control Board is holding a forum Tuesday night at the Spokane Convention Center. It’s one of six forums the board is holding around the state as it drafts rules to implement Initiative 502.
