SPOKANE — The Spokane City Council voted Monday in favor of an ordinance to regulate medical marijuana and retail pot shops.
The Spokesman-Review reported that the purpose is to implement the state recreational marijuana law, protect public health and give potential marijuana business owners predictability.
The plan commission will hold a public hearing and the city council will hear more testimony in coming months before adopting the city’s law.
