SPOKANE — Spokane police looking for robbery suspects fired several rounds of tear gas into a home early Tuesday to end a standoff.
Police went to the home Monday night looking for two men — 21 and 22 years old. Negotiators talked the 22-year-old into surrendering, but another man refused to come out of the house.
After using tear gas, officers searched the home and found a 24-year-old man hiding in the basement. He was not the man police were looking for but they arrested him on unrelated felony warrants.
Police are still looking for the 21-year-old who is wanted on robbery and kidnapping warrants. He’s accused of robbing two men June 17 when they attempted to buy a ring from him.
