SPOKANE VALLEY — Police are investigating after a Spokane Valley deputy shot and killed a wanted man while trying to arrest him Saturday.
Investigators say deputies went to an apartment complex after the man called and said he wanted to turn himself in. When deputies knocked on the door, a confrontation ensued and the man was shot.
It wasn’t immediately clear what the man was wanted for. Police said his identity would be released later by the medical examiner’s office.
The Spokane Police Department is reviewing the shooting.
