SPOKANE — The next time the Spokane City Council considers a tax increase, it will take five of seven votes to pass.
City voters in Tuesday’s election approved a proposition calling for a supermajority threshold for a tax hike.
The Spokesman-Review reported that the vote was close, but the proposal captured 51 percent support and leads by more than 800 votes.
