PORTLAND — The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife has a new tool against nuisance sea lions in the Columbia River — a water sprinkler.
Wildlife officers installed a sprinkler with a motion detector on a dock. When a sea lion climbs on the dock, the sprinkler turns on. KATU reports it appears sea lions don’t like the noisy spray, and they leave.
