VANCOUVER, Wash. — Police said a 55-year-old man who was sentenced for stalking has been arrested after he allegedly plotted to have his victims assaulted.
The man was taken into custody without incident Saturday evening on two counts of soliciting assault.
He’s accused of plotting the assault of two workers at Westfield Shopping Center in Vancouver.
Police said he had previously been tried for stalking them and was to start serving a monthlong sentence of house arrest in the case.
Police said investigators have determined that he took steps toward having someone attack the two, including offering payment for the assaults.
