STANWOOD — Two men hurt Sunday when their car smashed into a tree were in critical but stable condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Monday, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The wreck happened in the 6800 block of Happy Hollow Road. Firefighters used a hydraulic prying tool to open the smashed car and extricate the victims. They were then airlifted to Harborview.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen said.
