A 19-year-old Stanwood man died late Saturday after the vehicle he was driving slid into oncoming traffic, according to Rebecca Hover, spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department.
The man was driving west in the 5200 block of 100th St. NE in Marysville when his car slid sideways into the path of an eastbound vehicle, Hover said in a statement released Sunday.
The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was pronounced dead, she said.
No one else was injured in the accident, she said. The accident was under investigation Sunday, but police said the Stanwood man was likely driving too fast for conditions.
No other information about the accident was available on Sunday.
