Stanwood recognizes volunteers

The city of Stanwood recognized and thanked its many volunteers at a special event April 23.

Mayor Leonard Kelley announced the recipients of the city’s first-ever volunteer awards.

Volunteer of the Year: Renae Kettler, RE/MAX

Mayor’s Special Volunteer: Marla and Randy Heagle, Windermere Real Estate

Longest Serving Volunteer: Mike Greenslade

Most Volunteers: Stanwood Foursquare Church

Greenslade has been picking up trash around the city on a weekly basis since 2006 and started the Adopt-A-Street program in 2015.
