OLYMPIA — The Senate has approved a measure that would let people who buy a new Washington state park parking pass to use it on two cars.
The Senate unanimously passed the bill on Friday. It now goes to the House for consideration.
Under a bill passed last year, people who visit state parks and recreational lands must purchase either a $30 annual vehicle pass or a $10 single-day pass. Starting last July, people who do not have a Discover Pass displayed on their vehicle at state lands face a fine of $99.
The pass may be purchased online, by telephone or at state parks and in some retail stores.
