SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating a crash in West Seattle that occurred when two cars were racing.
KIRO TV reported that witnesses saw two cars racing just after 10 p.m. Sunday when one lost control and hit two parked cars.
Three people were inside the car that crashed and two men ran from the scene.
A 17-year-old girl was trapped inside and rescuers had to use the Jaws of Life to free her. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. They identified the men who fled the scene and are still searching for them. Police detained two men who were in the other car.
