Q: On Airport Road, because of a widening project, all of the tall metal light standards and signal supports are being replaced by new ones set back about 5 or 6 feet from the originals. I just wondered what was done with the original ones because they have only been up for a short time and appear to be same as the new ones.
A: Jim Bloodgood, Snohomish County traffic engineer, said the poles will be kept in inventory for use on other projects or as replacements in emergency situations such as knockdowns.
