SEATTLE — Forecasters say high winds Wednesday and Thursday on the Northwest coast and some inland areas of Washington and Oregon may be strong enough to bring down tree limbs and knock out power.
The Weather Service expects winds of around 30 mph with gusts to 45 on the coast. It also will be windy in the southwest Washington-northwest Oregon area including Portland and Vancouver. Winds Thursday are expected around 20 mph with gusts to 35.
The weather should calm down Friday and Saturday with a drier skies and a chance of sunshine.
