GRANITE FALLS – Granite High School students have been sent home for the day following a bomb threat, school officials said.
About 700 students were evacuated and dismissed at 11 a.m. Student drivers and walkers were sent home on their own. Buses took all the other students.
A written bomb threat was received mid-morning, district spokeswoman Kathy Grant said.
“For the safety of the kids and based on advice from law enforcement, we evacuated and sent the kids home,” she said.
A bomb dog is searching the school and police are investigating the threat.
