Carlos Gonzalez and James Fortin, as part of the community service requirement for all students graduating from Sultan High School, recently renovated the welcome sign for the city of Gold Bar. The sign, neglected for some time, required several hours of volunteer work that involved completely stripping, sanding, repairing and repainting the old wood. The sign, at the west end of the city, welcomes all who pass through on U.S. 2.
