EVERETT — Prosecutors on Tuesday charged a Sultan woman with first-degree child molestation and sexual exploitation of a minor in connection with an ongoing child rape and pornography investigation in Snohomish.
Prosecutors say Caitlin Ferry, 23, is the former girlfriend of Enrique Sanchez-Leon, a suspected child rapist and pornographer. Detectives say their investigation of Sanchez-Leon turned up thousands of images of children being sexually exploited. Investigators also found naked photographs of Ferry.
With her is a 7-year-old boy, who also is naked in a series of photographs, according to court papers.
The photographs are believed to have been taken in a bedroom in Sanchez-Leon’s apartment.
Two teenagers have provided statements to investigators in which they implicate Ferry for knowing about, encouraging or participating in alleged sexual exploitation, prosecutors said.
Ferry was arrested Friday. She appeared for a bail hearing Monday in Everett District Court. Ferry posted bail and was released from jail.
She is expected to be arraigned on the charges Wednesday in Snohomish County Superior Court. Prosecutors are expected to ask for an increase in bail and an order prohibiting Ferry from having any contact with children.
