TIGARD, Ore. — Tigard police say a suspect has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a man outside the home of his former wife.
Federal and state officers in Washington state took Orlando Lee Pouncey, 29, into custody Monday evening at a relative’s home in Spanaway.
Pouncey is accused of murder in the death of Jerry Duy Nguyen, 37, of Beaverton.
Police said Nguyen was at the home Jan. 30 to pick up his child.
Tigard police described Pouncey as a friend of the mother. They said he lived nearby in the Portland suburb and ran away after the shooting.
Authorities haven’t described a motive for the shooting.
Police said Tuesday it hadn’t been determined when Pouncey would be returned to Oregon.
