ARLINGTON — Federal investigators picked up a man earlier this month who had been wanted by Arlington police since 2005.
Destor Cabasada Gatchalian, 38, was arrested in 2005 for investigation of first-degree rape of a child and first-degree child molestation. The child was 10.
He was
released from jail on bond and failed to appear for a Feb. 22, 2005, court appearance, Arlington city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said.
Last week, Arlington police learned that Gatchalian had been arrested in the Philippines after a joint investigation by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the FBI and the Philippine National Police. He was brought to the U.S. on Wednesday and was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
