EVERETT — A Seattle man suspected of shooting a gun into a crowded Everett nightclub in January was arrested Monday in Arizona.
Anthony Leroy Pines, 28, is accused of firing once into McCabe’s on Hewitt Avenue. Three people were struck by the bullet.
Snohomish County prosecutors charged Pines with first-degree assault with a deadly weapon in the Jan. 12 shooting, and a judge here ordered a $1 million warrant for his arrest.
Pines was put behind bars at the Maricopa County Jail in Arizona after he was arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
Pines was booked at first under an alias after he allegedly lied about his identity, Goetz said. Authorities were able to determine his true identity and contacted police in Everett.
Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit now are making arrangements to bring Pines back to Washington.
