ISLAND COUNTY — Police here are asking for the public’s help finding a man suspected in a child molestation case.
Michael S. Angelo, also known as Michael Wayne Webb, went into hiding after being confronted about the case, Island County sheriff’s Detective Ed Wallace said Friday.
Island County prosecutors have charged Angelo with first-degree child molestation. He last appeared in court Dec. 27. A warrant for his arrest was issued Jan. 7.
Angelo is described as a 44-year-old white man. He is about 5-foot-8 and 165 pounds. He sometimes claims to be a healer and is known to carry a gun, Wallace said.
Investigators urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to call 911 or sheriff’s Detective Laura Price at 360-321-4400.
