HOQUIAM — Hoquiam Assistant Fire Chief Paul Dean says a fire Tuesday night that destroyed the former Clevenger Auction House is suspicious because there was no power to the vacant building.
The Aberdeen Daily World reports the fire started at the rear of the building and flames broke through the roof.
Firefighters had to extinguish the flames from outside since the structure was too dangerous to enter.
