Here’s a photo of stairs that used to run from 14th Street in north Everett to the waterfront below. Those stairs are long gone.
Paul Donovan from the Northwest Neighborhood has been asking neighbors to share their old Everett photos and information. He got this photo from historian Larry O’Donnell. A long-time Everett couple told Paul that he recalls three sets of stairs, one at 19th and one at 10th. His dad used to walk up one to come home — now that’s a commute.
“I remember workmen coming up the stairs with black lunch pails in 1948 when we lived on Grand Avenue,” the long-time Everett resident said.
