SPANAWAY — Pierce County sheriff’s deputies fired tear gas into the home of a Spanaway man who had been firing a gun and took him into custody.
Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer told The News Tribune no one was injured in the Wednesday morning incident.
Deputies were called around 8:30 a.
m. after a man in his 70s reportedly fired a shot inside his house and made threats to kill himself. He also fired in the direction of neighbors and responding deputies.
