EVERETT — A 17-year-old boy is accused of trying to carjack multiple drivers along Fourth Avenue W. late Tuesday.
He was arrested for investigation of second-degree robbery, resisting arrest and malicious mischief, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
A sheriff’s deputy had stopped to talk to the boy about 10:30 p.m. near 124th Street SW. The boy reportedly was tagging a wall with spray paint. He ran from the deputy and then allegedly tried to stop at least three drivers and forcefully steal their cars. He was not successful.
The incident happened in “a high-crime area known for gang activity and several shootings recently,” according to the police report.
