MOSES LAKE — Police in the central Washington community of Moses Lake say a teenage boy suffered severe hand injuries when a homemade bomb he was carrying exploded in a house.
The 16-year-old was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after the Wednesday afternoon explosion. His condition was not available Thursday.
The Spokesman-Review said police also found a small amount of hazardous materials and another pipe bomb in the house. The Richland police bomb squad responded and disposed of those items.
Another person received minor injuries in the blast.
