RICHLAND — A Benton County judge is deciding whether a boy accused of raping a neighbor in Finley when he was 15 years old should be charged as an adult.
Prosecutors described the attack in January as a carefully planned home invasion.
The Tri-City Herald reported that the boy would face four to five years in detention if convicted as a juvenile and nine to 12 years in prison if convicted as an adult.
The teen was in court Monday and the hearing continues later this week.
