OKANOGAN — The Okanogan County sheriff’s office says two 16-year-olds sought in the death of a man whose body was found Sunday evening have been located south of Eugene, Oregon.
Sheriff Frank Rogers said Oregon authorities advised Monday afternoon that they had the teens in custody in connection with the stolen pickup truck they were driving. The truck was reported missing from the homicide scene at the Riverside, Washington, home of 39-year-old Patrick M. Alltus.
The sheriff said there was evidence of a lot of violence at the home.
It’s not yet known when Alltus was killed, but Rogers says the teens had a contact last Wednesday with law enforcement in Oregon.
Okanogan County sheriff’s detectives headed to Oregon.
Deputies and Washington State Patrol Crime Lab technicians are processing the murder scene.
