Recruits needed to battle ivy in park
Join a Snohomish County Parks and Recreation Department work party at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Picnic Point County Park, 13001 Picnic Point Road, Edmonds.
Ivy is taking over the park and needs to be pulled.
Bring work gloves, pruners and lunch, and dress for the weather.
Tell State Patrol what you think
The State Patrol is asking for comments regarding the quality of their public safety services for state ferries. Surveys are available at all ferry terminals and can be dropped off as you leave the boat.
Or take the survey on the Internet at wsp.wa.gov/ comunity/_survey/ vatsurvey.htm.
The survey ends Sunday. Participants will be asked questions about their frequency of ferry travel and about different enforcement-related aspects at the ferry terminal.
