No bill is in the mail. Along with the blue flashes from cameras, there are now signs flashing words and numbers as the state prepares to open 17 miles of high-occupancy toll (HOT) lanes from Lynnwood to Bellevue.
The Washington State Department of Transportation started testing the two new electronic toll-rate signs on I-405 this week. No tolls are being collected. The testing is scheduled to take place through the summer.
