While it is only rumor Gov. Chris Gregoire may join the administration of President Barack Obama, it is fact that her eldest daughter Courtney is already on the team.
And she’s got a new and important role for the White House.
Courtney Gregoire was named in April as the director for the National Export Initiative of the International Trade Administration. The initiative launched by Obama earlier this year aims to double the nation’s exports in the next five years which could nicely benefit the very trade-dependent economy of this state.
Courtney Gregoire had been serving as the director of legislative affairs for Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, this state’s former governor.
Here’s more on the appointment and the initiative.
