EVERETT – Police arrested a third man Wednesday in the weekend shooting of an 18-year-old, officials said.
The man, 26, was picked up without incident in a pawn shop in the 7100 block of Evergreen Way, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of second-degree murder, Goetz said.
Robert John Sandgren died in the 5400 block of Broadway on Saturday morning.
Three men attacked Sandgren to “teach him a lesson” for allegedly roughing up his girlfriend, according to court papers.
On Monday, police arrested two other men in connection with the shooting. Wednesday’s arrest took place after property crimes detective Brian Loucks recognized the suspect from a photograph circulated to police, Goetz said.
Loucks was on a routine patrol in the shop.
The man is scheduled to go before a judge today.
