EDMONDS — Three men were arrested Friday in connection with a burglary spree in Edmonds.
Edmonds police officers were working burglary emphasis patrols in the Westgate area of town around 10 a.m., Assistant Chief Gerry Gannon said. One officer spotted three suspicious men, one of whom was suspected in several burglaries.
The men got into a car and drove into Shoreline, where the officer pulled them over, Gannon said. One of the men ran away, but the other two were arrested.
The man who ran was later found near I-5. A half-dozen police agencies joined in the search, which took about an hour and a half.
All three men were booked into jail for investigation of residential burglary. Investigators believe they were casing homes when they were spotted by the officer.
