LAKE STEVENS — Three men were arrested early Sunday morning in connection with a February break-in at Jay’s Market in downtown Lake Stevens.
The men allegedly broke in Feb. 17 and crawled across the grocery store floor to avoid setting off motion detectors, according to a police affidavit filed Monday in Everett District Court. They used a stone-cutting tool to crack open a safe and stole more than $4,000.
About a month later, a witness came forward and tipped off police as to who the suspects in the burglary might be, the report said.
Further investigation led police to believe that the men may be responsible for additional break-ins.
The men were all booked into the Snohomish County jail.
