MARYSVILLE — Three people were taken to an Everett hospital after a two-car crash Thursday evening four miles west of Marysville.
The crash was reported around 6:45 p.m. around 37th Avenue NW on Highway 531.
The injured included a Blaine woman, 34, who was driving a Honda Accord; her passenger, a Stanwood man, 40; and the driver of the other car, a Honda CRV. The other driver is a Stanwood woman, 56.
Troopers are exploring whether alcohol played a role in the crash, according to a Washington State Patrol accident memo. The case is being investigated as a possible vehicular assault.
Troopers said the Blaine woman was eastbound on Highway 531 and the Stanwood woman was westbound. Troopers believe the Blaine woman’s car ended up on the westbound shoulder before crashing into the other car in the westbound lane, the memo said.
All three people were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett for treatment.
